LXMNA Skateboards

This pitch proposal reimagines Malaysia’s rich biodiversity through the lens of modern street culture and visual storytelling. The Illustration Series transforms traditional elements, such as native wildlife and tropical flora into bold, contemporary expressions on skateboard decks. Each design features intricate linework and textured detailing, marrying nature’s raw beauty with the energy of urban art. From fierce jungle predators to serene botanical forms, these boards serve as mobile canvases that not only celebrate local heritage but also challenge the boundaries of where and how art can live.

Bridging nature
& expression
Inspired by Malaysia’s vibrant landscapes, lush rainforests, and diverse wildlife, this project honours the natural wonders that often go unnoticed in everyday life. By weaving elements of local flora and fauna into a modern medium like skate culture, it bridges the gap between nature and creative expression. To extend its impact beyond visuals, a limited run of merchandise was released, not just as collectible pieces, but as a way to give back. Proceeds from these items were directed to local wildlife conservation efforts, helping protect endangered species and preserve the ecosystems that sparked this work.
More than just a design exercise, this project is a celebration of identity, culture, and the wild beauty that surrounds us. It’s a reminder that art can move, on wheels, through streets, and into conversations that matter.
